A group meeting was arranged for the 24th February at 1pm for the purpose of idea development. In preparation of the meeting I asked for each individual of the team to upload his or her individual mood boards in PDF format to the project Facebook Group. After all mood boards were uploaded I asked each individual to review the moodboards and construct two individual concepts influenced upon these ideas to pitch at the meeting. After all individuals pitched their ideas, two final thoughts were then collated for presentation at Thursday’s seminar. The selected app designs include 1. An interactive timeline app, which allows users to upload their moments and experiences through the format of a checklist and 2. A polling application designed to collate viewer opinions on the Magna Carta, through visual representations of data, the focus being to create a clean and simplistic design.
In addition to the above, in the meeting we put together the following key requirements in response to the brief:
- The app should comply to the Magna Carta Exhibition through its history and displays
- The app is to be aimed at 10-18 yr. olds or adults
- The app is to respond to the design agencies style guidance & colour theme
- The app is to be designed as a component of an app
- The app is to be downloaded either prior to attending the exhibition or in the Cafe Hotspot of Salisbury Cathedral
Moreover, within the meeting we suggested ideas for a Group Name to help promote general team moral. We came to the decision that our group name for the project will be ‘APPSOLUTE’ and this name will be used as are URL for the Group WordPress blog. My job from now is to create this Group WordPress blog allowing for multiple contributors and to also create a group directory within Google Drive for the purpose of collaboration.
Below are screenshots of the PowerPoint presentation we put together for Thursday’s seminar:
In the presentation we incorporated visual representations of our proposed app design to ensure there is a better understanding of the key essential ideas, through the given graphic imageries. Maria, Hayley and Shaun worked on the development of these designs.
