Our brief is to create a piece of interactive information design for a shared public space, which is intended to elucidate or explain an idea or concept we perceive as key to our 21st century media experience. The work is to be created for one of the public screens in the foyer of Weymouth House, Bournemouth University.
This mini-brief was given as a form of practice to understand how people react and interact with a piece of work within this given space. We will be creating A3 Posters in groups to be placed into the foyer of Weymouth House. In doing so we will be taking observations of the space, evaluating how people flow through the space and use the space to pinpoint the best location for the placement of the poster.
The poster is to be developed as a campaign poster for an ‘Independent Dorset’. We will be exploring the history, meaning and characteristics of the Dorset area to aim for an accurate representation of Dorset and why it should become independent.
